This will include the rewritten personal message area. We will convert over all the messages in your inbox to the new system tomorrow but any messages in your 'sent items' folder will not be converted. It might also be wise to archive off any messages you wish to keep incase any data is lost during the conversion.

The new message center allows for better CCing of messages, smaller storage in the database and an internal API for mass messaging (whether this will be used in 2.0 is still up in the air). The new message center will also support PM attachments (where permissions allow).

IPB2.0 will introduce a new attachment model where groups are given a global upload quota which they can manage from their attachment center. This attachment center will be trialled here after the weekend.

Modification writers might be pleased to know that PM sending has its own class which makes it as easy to send a PM to a member as it is to email a member from within IPB's code.
